I started officiating in Syracuse, NY where I lived for 21 years before returning to my home state of Georgia in 1999.
My ref journey started in 1988 with high school sports. I’ve officiated the sports of softball, soccer, lacrosse and basketball.
My journey has progressed with staffs memberships at the collegiate level from Junior College to Division I in the Ivy League. (Basketball)
At the professional level
I officiated in the ABL, American Basketball League, and a pre-courser to the WNBA.
Was a staff member with the Women’s Blue Chip Basketball League, and currently am a staff member with the WBDA, Women’s Basketball Development Association, were I refereed the 2019 championship game.
Since 2000 I have been a staff member of the ABA American Basketball Assosociaton, a men’s international pro league.
There I have achieved the staff designation - Crew Chief and have officiated several championship games, most recently in 2019.
My current High School Associations include:
GLOA - GA Lacrosse Officials Association, (charter member); and
PSBOA – Peach State Basketball Officials Association, (a past president).
I am the 2019 Hall of Fame inductee into the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association as the Overall Official of the Year.
I have a passion for sports officiating and am always striving to improve.
I retired from the Internal Revenue Service in 2020 after 36 yrs. as a Revenue Agent.
